Chat Patay Aaloo


Potato                                       ½ kg
Coriander seeds (grounded)        3 tbsp
(kuta hoa dhania)          
Red chilli powder                        1 tbsp
Chat masala                              1 tbsp
Salt                                          to taste
Oil                                            3 tbsp
Vinegar                                     ½ tsp

-          Heat oil then add Coriander seeds (grounded), red chilli powder, salt and water (2 cups) and cook for half an hour. Then add chat masala and again cook for 10 minutes so that it gets thick. Then add vinegar in it.
-          Now boil the potatoes and cut it into 4 pieces, then add these in another bowl of water and add yellow food color in it and keep it aside for 25 minutes.
-          Add potatoes in the gravy and cook for 5 minutes, the gravy should be such that it get mixed with the potatoes(it should not be too thick).
-          Garnish it with coriander leaves.
